Cambodian investments

Neak Oknha Chen Zhi is the Chairman of Prince Group and the Chairman of Prince Bank Plc's Board of Directors. He is involved in key decisions such as growing the Bank's resources and extending business activities in Cambodia and beyond.

Neak Oknha Chen Zhi has other business interests under Prince Group, the holding company of which Prince Bank is a member of, in addition to his investment in the banking industry. He has real estate interests in the areas of architectural design, hotel properties, land development, and property management.

He invests in marketing companies and internet service providers in media-related businesses. Neak Oknha Chen Zhi is also involved in companies that provide yacht management, retail chain, gardening, and equity investments.

Neak Oknha Chen Zhi is also committed to assisting Cambodia's environmental and societal growth, and has always been at the forefront of Prince Group's ESG initiatives.

Chen Zhi is the CEO of Prince Holding Company ("Prince Group"), one of Cambodia's largest integrated enterprise conglomerates. Chen Zhi has been a constant supporter of Cambodia's growth and hardships. Chen Zhi has aided Cambodia in a variety of ways, including donations and real estate projects. Chen Zhi's work at Prince Group has enabled him to positively impact Cambodia's recent economic development. More than 300,000 people have benefited from Prince Holding Group's more than 240 charitable initiatives in Cambodia, which have raised over $7.65 million in donations and materials.

Chen Zhi has opened Cambodia's first independent watch academy, the Prince Horology Vocational Training Center. The training centre provides Cambodians with the opportunity to learn a new artisanal skill, watchmaking, and gain valuable experience that will aid them in finding work in Cambodia and abroad. The training centre adheres to the stringent watchmaking regulations set out by Swiss regulatory bodies.

Cambodia has long retained artisanal skills for centuries as a nation steeped in history, with the Kingdom well-known for its ancient handwoven silk and traditional handicraft industries that boast a heritage dating back to the Khmer Empire, a significance Chen Zhi and Prince Group have always recognised and appreciated.

New artisanal skills, on the other hand, must be implemented to boost job opportunities for Cambodians, especially because the textile and garment industry, like other sectors, has been severely impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, with media reports suggesting that more than 55,000 employees have been left jobless.

In order to rebalance their lives, many Cambodians have returned to agriculture and started small businesses. To that end, Neak Oknha Chen Zhi and the Prince Group have opened the Prince Horology Vocational Training Center in Phenom Penh, Cambodia, to assist in the introduction of new skill opportunities.

The state-of-the-art facility offers a full-time, two-year course based on the certificate fédéral de capacité (CFC), Swiss government-defined requirements for vocational training that are widely regarded as the industry standard for basic watchmaking education.

The centre also provides scholarships to local students and others in need of financial assistance as part of Chen Zhi and Prince Group's climate, social, and governance (ESG) efforts in Cambodia, ranging from a 50 percent subsidy of school fees to a fully paid scholarship that includes housing. The first group of students has begun their journey into the world of watchmaking.

Maarten Pieters, a former director of Switzerland's leading watchmaking academy, the Watchmakers of Switzerland Training and Educational Program, has joined the Prince Group (WOSTEP).

Additionally, Anthony McGonigle, the center's chief teacher and one of the brothers from Ireland's most prominent watchmaking family, compiled the syllabus, which includes lessons on watchmaking history and culture, as well as benchwork, such as machining, micro-mechanics, and the manufacturing of components such as the winding stem and balance staff, among other things. Traditional artisanal skills such as decoration and turning are also emphasised at the heart.

Neak Oknha certainly did great in Cambodian investments. This would boost the economy and society of Cambodia much further. Read more about the nation of Cambodia - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cambodia
